Street Yoga's Core Mission reads: Street Yoga gives youth and their caregivers the tools to overcome early life trauma, through the sharing of life-building mindfulness and wellness practices grounded in the ancient healing principles of yoga. We serve by helping them create a sense of true home in their own bodies, minds and communities.
A fun way to support Street Yoga is by buying one of our cool, new t-shirts. Click here for all the info! Thanks!

Street Yoga offers free yoga, wellness and meditation classes to homeless youth, and youth at risk of homelessness. We hope to offer to the youth a chance to create sincere, lasting wellness in their own lives, and at the same time give them tools to help themselves meet their own core needs.
We're often asked Why Yoga with Homeless Youth? Don't they need food and shelter first? We've gone through much searching after this. At it's core it's a matter of respect and dignity. Why do we brush our teeth? Because, at best, it helps us feel more healthy, whole and hopeful. Yoga provides that, and so much more.
That's why we give it away for free.
Please feel free to read more about this in an article by Katie Arrants,
Food and Shelter Are Not Enough.
We are deeply grateful that you are willing to help the youth we serve at Street Yoga.
Thank you and namaste
