Living Yoga

Mission:
Living Yoga is a non-profit 501(c)(3) outreach program teaching yoga as a tool for personal change to populations who would otherwise not have access to it. Yoga is invaluable for rehabilitation and recovery; it develops the skills of mindfulness, impulse control, discernment in decision-making and emotional regulation, as well as interpersonal relationship skills. We extend our service to prisons, drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers, battered women’s shelters, low-income and homeless resource services, and disadvantaged youth.
Description:

Living Yoga volunteer teachers provide more than 10,000 student/hours of classes each year to men, women and teens to prisons, drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers, battered women’s shelters, low-income and homeless resource services, and disadvantaged youth.
